Chapter Advisors support Cal Delta Sigma officers in developing programming and managing the budget associated with their positions. Advisors meet with Delta Sigma officers monthly, and also attend officer and chapter meetings. Advisors also regularly meet as a group to discuss issues relevant to the Sorority at large.
Annie CalvetAnnie rushed Delta Sigma in the Spring of 2018 and graduated with a degree in German and a minor in Political Science. Her mother Darla Calvet was in the same house in 1983 and 1984. While in the house, Annie served as the Recruitment Assistant for a semester and was involved in the various clubs through the German Department. Annie currently works at Marsh and McLennan Agency as an insurance agent. She is also applying for graduate schools to pursue her dream of being a psychologist. |
Danielle FarrarDanielle pledged Sigma Chapter in Fall 2009 and is currently the advisor to the Director of Philanthropy and Sustainability Chair. While at UC Berkeley, Danielle served as Sigma Chapter's Sisterhood Chair and was a member of the Cal Sailing team and Dance Marathon. Danielle now lives in San Francisco and works as a Manager of Customer Success at an EdTech company. |
Rachael GarnerRachael pledged Sigma Chapter in Fall 2015 and now acts as an advisor to the Director of New Member Education. Before graduating with a Cognitive Science degree in December 2018, she served as New Member Educator to the chapter and was Photo Editor for The Daily Californian. Rachael is currently living in Pasadena, CA working as a Computational Neuroscience Researcher at the University of Southern California. |
Emily GildenEmily was initiated with the beloved Fall 2012 pledge class and currently advises the Chapter Vice President and Housing Manager. While at UC Berkeley, she served Sigma chapter as the Sisterhood Chair and Vice President of Administration, and was involved in the College of Engineering LeaderShape program. She also volunteered in several capacities in the local Berkeley/Oakland schools. Emily is now a math teacher at Berkeley High School. |
Olivia GravesOlivia pledged Sigma Chapter of AOII in Fall 2013 and currently advises the Historian and Director of Academic Development. As a collegian, she served as Assistant Housing Manager, Vice President of Education, and chair of the House Beautification committee for Recruitment three years running. She was proud to put her Classics training to use during Delta Sigma's formation in 2017 by composing the chapter motto and password and translating them into Ancient Greek. After receiving an MPhil in Archaeology from Oxford (2017-19), she began a funded PhD program in Classical Archaeology at Cornell University in Fall 2020. |

Kate McMahonKate pledged Sigma Chapter in Fall 2010 and serves as the adviser to the Treasurer and Financial Controller for the chapter. White at UC Berkeley, Kate served as health worker, housing manager, and Panhellenic Finance Officer. She graduated with a BS in Business from Haas Business School with a minor of Urban and Regional Planning. Since graduation, Kate has worked for Abbott Laboratories in roles of increasing responsibility across the globe. She currently lives in Murrieta, CA. |
Lubna SebastianLubna, a 2019 graduate in Political Economy from UC Berkeley, advises the External Social Chair. As one of the founders of Delta Sigma, Lubna was elected Vice President of the organization to maintain chapter bylaws, conduct officer elections, and create the semesterly calendar. Upon graduation, Lubna developed and directed the national student program for President Joe Biden's successful 2020 campaign, joining the Transition Team and Presidential Inaugural Committee after the election. Lubna lives in the Washington, DC area with her family. |
Amanda SinrodAmanda pledged Sigma Chapter in Fall 2013 and is the advisor to the Ritual Director. She was very involved in the sorority while earning her BS in chemistry from the College of Chemistry. Amanda was a founding member of Delta Sigma, writing our beloved Ritual and serving as the first Ritual Director. After graduation, Amanda conducted research at the US Department of Agriculture to develop healthier, more sustainable foods. Amanda is currently a Masters Candidate in Food Science and Technology at UC Davis researching how to transform wine waste products into functional food ingredients. |
Paige XuPaige pledged Sigma Chapter in Spring 2010 and currently advises the Director Community Development. While at UC Berkeley, Paige served as Sigma Chapter's VP of Communication (PR) and was a member of Peer Health Exchange and Volunteers Around the World. After graduation, Paige finished her Masters at Columbia University. She currently lives in Brooklyn, NY and works in healthcare analytics for the Mount Sinai Hospital System. |
