Sigma 1916 owns and manages the Cal Delta Sigma chapter house at 2311 Prospect, as we have for nearly 100 years. This property was paid for by donations made to Sigma 1916 (formerly known as Sigma Corporation) by alumnae and others. Our house has been self-sustaining for 100+ years.

In all this time — through widespread economic peril as well as flush times between 1916 and now — Sigma 1916 has never wavered in our support of the collegiate women who are Sigma Chapter/Cal Delta Sigma.

A few years ago, we successfully fought to keep this beautiful house, which resulted in a break with International when they threatened to take control from us. Now, we must continue our support to ensure that our collegiate members have an amazing place to call home for years to come.

As with any property ownership, there are everyday maintenance issues that are handled on a continuous basis. Alas, there are also large, expensive repairs that come up infrequently.

This means we have limited funds coming in, while our fixed costs (taxes, insurance, house improvements, employee salaries, etc.) remain constant.
